Group Exercise Classes - Descriptions

This class includes light cardiovascular exercise for the heart, muscular strength and conditioning for healthy bones. Balance and flexibility training make this a total-body workout.


Ab Lab
In this 25-minute session your abs and back will get a hard-core workout with stabilization and strength training. Use Ab Lab with any workout, or alone, and get your midsection in its best shape yet.


Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga is a more rigorous and at times intense form of yoga which is designed to heat the body very quickly in order to detoxify and remove impurities. This is accomplished by moving through each posture, or asana, in conjunction with breath control. Ashtanga is aerobic in nature; when practiced on a regular basis, Ashanta yoga brings increased strength and flexibility.


Beginning Ashtanga
This class is geared to those with little or no yoga experience who are interested in developing a yoga practice. The class is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels. This class will be taught in English.


Cardio Sculpt
A great combination class sure to maximize your workout time. The instructor will lead you through a combination of aerobic conditioning and toning exercises for a fun, full- body workout.


Drums Alive!
Use rhythm as the source of inspiration to discover a new group-fitness experience. Fitness, music, and rhythm all wrapped up in one engaging class.


High Intensity Interval Training. An enhanced form of interval training to decrease body fat and increase muscle. The class strategy alternates short periods of intense exercise with less intense recovery periods.


All the elements of a real boxer’s training program, but no punching bag or gloves required. You’ll strengthen your legs, upper body and abs with these boxing moves.


Designed to increase flexibility and improve posture, balance and coordination, Pilates focuses on strengthening the body’s core or midsection through a series of exercises designed by Joseph Pilates. This class may include use of various equipment.


Experience this total-body, plateau-proof workout. R.I.P.P.E.D combines resistance, interval, power, plyometrics, and diet instruction to help you achieve and maintain the body you want.


Stretch & Tone
This class is focused on improving strength, flexibility and toning while promoting better function, mobility, athleticism and posture.


Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Asanas (postures) are linked together in a series of movements that are synchronized with the breath. Emphasis is placed on the breath and the transition in and out of the postures. This class is suitable for all levels, from beginner to advanced practitioner.


Suitable and beneficial for all levels of student, as well as those who have never practiced yoga before. Yin Yoga also provides a wonderful compliment to athletes and weight trainers by increasing flexibility and helping to prevent injury.


This class places a strong emphasis on breath, concentration, flexibility and toning. Learn and practice a series of postures from relaxing and restorative to strong poses that all build strength and improve balance. This class is for all levels.


Yoga Basics
Ideal for those new to yoga or seeking a gentle practice. This class will use different props: chair, ball, wall, straps and blocks to support the body while you engage your muscles and relax your mind.


Zumba combines high energy with unique Latin-style moves. Based on the principle that workouts should be fun and easy to do, Zumba is not only great for the body but also benefits the mind. Burn calories and feel great while you are doing it.
